Design a 3.5 × 4.5 m two-way corner panel in a 150 mm slab to IS 456, carrying a factored load of 12 kN/m² with M25 concrete and Fe415 steel.
- Under Design Code / Country, select India. Under Slab Type, select Two-Way.
- In Panel Geometry, enter Short span lx
3.5m and Long span ly4.5m, and set Panel Type to Two adjacent edges discontinuous. - In Loading, enter Factored load (w)
12kN/m². - In Section & Materials, enter Overall depth (D)
150, Clear cover20and Bar diameter10mm, Concrete grade fck25and Steel grade fy415MPa. - In Serviceability & Detailing (optional), enter Service load (unfactored)
8kN/m². - Select Run Design.
- IS 456:2000 (Annex D coefficients, Table 26)
- ACI 318-19
- EN 1992-1-1
- Two-way: short and long spans, panel type (nine edge-restraint cases).
- One-way: span and support condition. Flat slab: spans L1 and L2, column size.
- Loads, thickness, materials, cover.
- Design moments, steel areas, minimum-steel governance, deflection (span/depth), punching shear.
- Exports: PDF and Excel report.
- Annex D two-way coefficients apply to panels with ly/lx ≤ 2; a longer panel acts one-way, so design it as one.
- Flat slabs use the direct design method.
