Quick start

Check a 3000 × 250 mm seismic shear wall, 9 m tall, to IS 456 with IS 13920, for Pu = 2000 kN, Mu = 3000 kN·m and Vu = 1000 kN in M30 concrete and Fe415 steel.

  1. Under Design Code / Country, select India.
  2. In Wall Geometry, enter Wall length (lw) 3000, Wall thickness (tw) 250, Clear cover 40 and Wall height (hw) 9000 mm.
  3. Leave Enlarged / barbell boundary elements on, with BE bars (each end) 8 of BE bar diameter 20 mm.
  4. In Materials, enter Concrete grade fck 30 and Steel grade fy 415 MPa.
  5. In Factored Actions (in-plane), enter Axial load (Pu) 2000 kN, Moment (Mu) 3000 kN·m and Shear (Vu) 1000 kN. Leave Seismic detailing on.
  6. Select Run Design.
